Telegram Account Recovery: Get Back Into Your Own Account

Answer four quick questions — do you still have the phone/SIM, is Telegram open on another device, do you know your cloud password, and do you have your recovery email — and go straight to the one official Telegram step that fits your case. This page is the map, not the manual: each answer sends you to the exact guide in two taps.

Owner-only, always
Every route re-accesses your OWN account through Telegram's own screens — nothing else.
We never ask for your code
No one — not Telegram, not a bot, not us — ever needs your login code. Never share it.
Official channels only
The apps, t.me, @SpamBot, your recovery email, and Telegram's own reset — no third-party tools.
Nothing to log in
This is guidance, not a login form; we never see your number, code, or password.

Find your recovery path

Fix a login code that won't arrive
no-code · mobile
The code lands in an existing Telegram session before any SMS — open the app on any device you're still signed into, then request the call if it's still missing.
Fix a login code that won't arrive
no-code · desktop
Telegram Desktop offers 'Log in by QR code' — scan it with a phone that's still signed in instead of waiting on SMS.
Fix a login code that won't arrive
no-code · web
On web.telegram.org use 'Log in by QR code' from a signed-in phone; the SMS and call fallbacks are slower in a browser.
Reset a forgotten cloud password
cloud-pw · mobile
On the cloud-password screen tap 'Forgot password?' — Telegram emails a reset link to the recovery address hinted right there.
Reset a forgotten cloud password
cloud-pw · desktop
Desktop shows the same 'Forgot password?' link; the reset email goes to the address hinted under the password box.
Reset a forgotten cloud password
cloud-pw · web
The web password screen shows your recovery-email hint and a reset link — follow it in the same browser. No recovery email? See the email-lost guide.
Recover with a lost phone number
no-number · mobile
First try the code on your old number from a phone that's still signed in; if the SIM is truly gone, change your number in Settings before it lapses.
Recover with a lost phone number
no-number · desktop
Sign in on Desktop by QR from a device that still has the account, then switch your number under Settings — you can't get a fresh code on a number you no longer control.
Recover with a lost phone number
no-number · web
Use QR login on the web from a signed-in phone; if no device is signed in and the number is gone, only an account reset remains.
Last resort: account reset
lockout · mobile
If no code, no password, and no recovery email work, the login screen's 'Reset Account' is the last resort — it deletes the account and its cloud chats.
Last resort: account reset
lockout · desktop
Desktop shows the same 'Reset Account' option after the wait Telegram sets — understand it erases everything before you confirm.
Last resort: account reset
lockout · web
Web login also offers account reset after the waiting period — it's deletion, not recovery, so read exactly what's lost first.
⛔ You're trying to get into an account that isn't yours
Every route here recovers your OWN account only. We don't help access anyone else's — that's account theft. If someone took over your account, use the safety center.
⛔ Someone asked you to send a login code, or you want to obtain someone's code
No one — not Telegram, not a bot, not us — ever needs your login code. 'Send me the code' and SIM-swapping are THE takeover methods; we never intercept, request, or help capture a code.
⛔ You want to read, mirror, or monitor another person's chats
That's surveillance, not recovery. We route owner access only and never facilitate reading someone else's messages.
⛔ You want to bypass or 'remove' the cloud password (2FA) without the owner's own credentials
No legitimate bypass or 'remover' exists. The only official ways past 2FA are your own recovery email or an account reset — both owner-only.
⛔ You want to restore a deleted or self-destructed account or its cloud chats
Permanently deleted and reset accounts, and their cloud chats, can't be brought back by anyone. We won't promise a recovery that isn't possible.

Open Telegram and read the exact screen blocking you — a 5-digit code box, a 'Two-Step Verification' password box, or a 'this number is banned' message tells you which path is yours. The most common blocker is the login code itself, so start there.

FAQ

Can you recover my Telegram account for me?
No one recovers it for you — and you should be wary of anyone who offers to. This site is a router: you tell it where you're stuck and it points you to the exact official Telegram step, which you complete yourself in your own app. We never see or handle your phone number, login code, or cloud password.
Telegram says a code was sent, but I never got it — where is it?
Telegram delivers the login code in a fixed order: to an existing Telegram session on another device first, then by SMS, then by a phone call you can request. Check every device you're still signed into before waiting on SMS; if the number is correct and still nothing arrives, request the call and give it a few minutes. Full steps are on the login-code guide.
I control the phone number — can you help me get into the account on it, or see its chats?
No. Owning or holding a SIM does not make an account yours, and we never help access an account you don't own or read anyone's chats — that's account theft and surveillance. The #1 rule is absolute: no one ever needs your login code, and we will never ask for, intercept, or help capture one. If the account is genuinely yours and you've simply changed numbers, use the lost-number guide; if someone else is in your account, use the safety center.
I forgot my cloud password (Two-Step Verification) — is there a way around it?
There's no bypass, and any tool claiming to 'remove' 2FA is a scam. The official route is the 'Forgot password?' link on the password screen, which sends a reset to your recovery email (its hint is shown on that screen). If you no longer have that email either, the only remaining official option is an account reset — which deletes the account. See the forgot-password and recovery-email-lost guides.
What does the 7-day account reset actually do?
It is not a password recovery. After a waiting period Telegram sets (up to seven days), 'Reset Account' permanently deletes the account and everything in it — your cloud chats, contacts, and any channels or groups you solely own — and frees the number so you can register a brand-new account. Once done it cannot be undone, so only use it when every other route has failed.
Do I need to give you or a bot my code to prove the account is mine?
Never. A login code is only ever typed into the official Telegram app on your own device — not into a website, a chat, or a bot, and not to us. Any 'verify your account' request that asks you to forward a code is a takeover attempt. If you've already shared one, open Settings > Devices and end sessions you don't recognize, then change your cloud password under Settings > Privacy and Security > Two-Step Verification.

Still not sure where you're stuck?

The safest first move is to open Telegram and read the exact screen that blocks you: a code box means a login-code problem, a 'Two-Step Verification' password box means a cloud-password problem, and a 'this number is banned' message needs an appeal to [email protected]. Whatever the screen, the fix runs through Telegram's own apps, t.me, @SpamBot, your recovery email, or Telegram's reset — nothing else, and never by sharing your login code. If you believe someone else took your account, go to the safety center. Not affiliated with Telegram.
